When I visited the PoF in 1997 there were two P-51s, "Wee Willy" and "Spam Can". There were two there last week as well. One had a red spinner with the cowl panels removed, the other had a black spinner with black and white checkerboard panels. Are these the same two airframes with new paint?

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

Sounds like you saw "Spam Can" that has the red spinner and the other is Friedkin's TF-51 that has the B/W checkers.

So it sounds like this one is Cavalier T Mk 2, s/n 67-14866, N20TF. Correct?

Thanks.

Just a message from your local Cavalier enthusiast...

There's no such thing as a "Cavalier T Mk2", regardless of what you may have read.

67-14866 is a "Cavalier TF-51D".
