Warbird Information Exchange

On a whim, I spent a bunch of time this morning reading trip reports from European tourists who have visited North Korea.

In a photo album of the "Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum" in Pyongyang, DPRK, there are several warbirds on display (MiG-15, Yak-3, Panther/Cougar wreck, etc) .

There are a couple wrecks that I can't ID...anyone help?

Randy I would say the second and last photo are most definately a Skyraider. The first photo might be one as well but I can't really tell for sure. The third link didn't pop up.

That prop is definately an Aeroproducts from a Skyraider. It can't be a Bearcat because none were in Korea and a French or Thai Bearcat crashing in North Korea just doesn't make sense.

Was there anything in the photos about the F-86 that bellied in and they made airworthy again? I think it might have ultimately ended up in Russia but I can't remember at the moment.

Yep, they are all Skyraiders or Skyraider engines.
