well, i'm back from vegas. certainly no richer from gambling!! but some of my money was much better spent wreck chasing with robb hill, aviation author / wreck chaser with over 500 wrecks found & he's a memorabilia seller. time was of the essence!! i had only had 5 hours of daylight left on my arrival to sin city & robb picked me up at my hotel & casino promptly. the other 2 days in vegas i was working at a trade show for my business. we visited 4 sites a ww2 p-39 crash, post war p-51 crash, & 2 separate f-86 sabre crashes from the 50's. these sites were about 30 miles out side of vegas some near the vicinity of nellis afb. these crash sites are now mostly shards of wreckage & aluminum but with a careful eye there is still lots to be found that is interesting. the wreckage at all sites was strewn thousands of yards. robb provided written history on all crashes visited. it was a great experience!! & a learning 1 at that. yeah, i took a few momentos too!! but nothing major as i couldn't hump much back to ohio, & i took nothing that spoils visiting the sites for others. the surrounding desert, jets screaming from nellis etc, added to the mooded & spirit like i can't even begin to tell you. people must realize.... that many wrecks anywhere world wide don't have entire fuselages & wings etc lying around. robb was a real gentleman, knowledgeable, & will show you a great time for sure. his email is
