Today the Collings B17 and B25 were at Ft Lauderdale,FL. Each year I wait for them to come here and Boca raton FL.
I was a B17 pilot and flew 50 combat missions based in Tunis N.Africa and Foggia Italy from 7/43 to 2/44.
I sit at the exit door and answer questions that people might have as they exit the plane .
I think it's important that young people know about a phase of history, of WW2. Last year I was in 11 high schools in my area, talking about the air war in Europe from 1942-45.
