Hi All,

I was looking up info on Auster AOP's and stumbled across this site and thought some of you might be interested. Malaya Wrecks Research Group.

Many, many thanks for that , lauriebe, I've only found one other website that touches on Hornets, until now, but you've just given me the 'Jackpot' !...- I find it strange that an aircraft such as the Hornet was, has so little information available and so small a following....

All that I've learned of them indicated they were, at WWII's end, one of the fastest, most manoevrable piston-engined aircraft in the world, and there also appears to be no survivors left....

One hopes that someone of Glyn Powell's calibre [if not himself], may oneday see a re-creation of this superb aircraft, that like the Mosquito, was also essentially made of wood....they were indeed incredibly unique....

Again, many thanks....
