It's free but you need to go there yourself. There is no real order ie 8th AF section or 31st FG section. Just boxes of photos in records group sections of no apparent order. There's a ton of stuff that's never been seen. Remember the last scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark? The big warehouse. That should give you an idea.

Sounds like a gold mine waiting to be tapped.

My Dad's former co-worker flew in B-17s as a ball turret gunner during the war. He took loads of photos during his time in Europe, many taken from the air. Right after the war ended, all of the guys were invited to a big dinner. When he came back from the dinner, his trunk containing all of his photos had been emptied out. Only a few survived that he hadn't kept in the trunk.

Something tells me those photos are sitting in that warehouse...
