I'm a huge fan of the LOACH. 
Wish there were more of them done up in Vietnam livery one the air show circuit. Maybe six of them performing an aero routine much like the UK's military display team. I forget which choppers they operate.

Is it flown in Restricted category, because it's ex-military?

Plenty of other ones licensed in the Standard Category in the FAA registry though.
