Today was a Great day to fly, We flew the AC-47 to the Kansas University Korean War memorial dedication this morning with an L-17 in trail. Lots of fun and a nice salute to those who served in the Korean War.

this is the only yr. Vietnam Veterans Homecomming, lots of bands from the era and displays. The army aviation heritage will be there with their hueys............would have been nice to have "puff" circling overhead..........most of the guys that I chat with, have never forgotten the 1st time they had seen one.

Speaking of which.........my neighbor was a tech rep for GE (the 7.62 mini gun was designed and built here in VT) he helped install them in the C-47 in Vietnam............I remember seeing some of his pics.

Hey Jeff, What year(s), was your TechRep friend in Vietnam performing
the mini-gun mods? Got any of his pics that you can post?

I can't imagine a Viet Vet Reunion without AC-47...

I have been trying to get in to that show for several years and every time I get the same answer not enough money left to bring us in. we don't charge all that much but we also can't go for free, just last year we had to replace two engines. I think the sky soldiers are going to be with us up at Selfridge this year, should be Alot of fun.
