Korean war scrapbook.

Since going to NEAM this past Saturday and looking around in the dark corners, I thought I would put this up.

The other day while checking out a popular military vehicle website I saw this link:

http://www.ophsa.org/Korea/index.htm

It's one mans scrapbook of pictures taken while stationed in Korea in 1952/53. There are 17 pages of pictures dealing with the people, places and vehicles that he saw. Now it's mostly non aviation related, so I debated with myself as to wether or not put it in the hanger, please bear with me a minute longer. On page 8 there is a sequence of photographs showing wounded being loaded aboard an OH 13 and lifting off (hence I'm putting it here where more folks can see it, rather than the O.T. board) The best part is the pictures are all in glorious, living color. I actually could not belive how good they looked.

So take a look, enjoy the chopper (I know there are some chopper nuts hiding out there somewhere) and enjoy the other photo's as well. I know I did.

Alfred,

Thank you. This is a very interesting site. You are correct, the color
photographs are excellent. You really get a feel of the landscape,
vehicles and uniforms.
