I thought the same thing watching that vid, it looked like he got it very sideways :shock: , take a close look at his rudder use on the roll out.

I have read numerous reports regarding the landing of the 109 from some well respected display pilots and most of them mention that the 109 was one of the few aircraft that you never quite new how the landing was going to come out.
I have also read that (not sure how accurate the figure is) 30% of all 109 during the WW2 were damaged at one point during landing accidents.

And as for the type of landing, I have seen a little of both from various people (wheelers & 3 point).

I certainly take my hat of to any of the guys flying the 109, its a small aircraft with a big engine, very narrow undercarriage, small rudder, very small cockpit and a poor view over the nose, certainly makes for an aeroplane that wants to swap ends.

The type of aircraft that puts a bead of sweat on the forehead when its time to come home!!!

Great to see another flying, they are certainly on of my favourites.
