Dood, I was there too! Shreveport is my home town. :) I never knew there were any other WIXers around this neck of the woods. Looks like your photos turned out a lot better than mine. I'm down to just a little pocket digital camera, which I still managed to drop on the tarmac during the show. One day I'll get me another quality camera rig.

Thomas,

Nice photo's you have there. Well done Sir. You know, since alot seems to be made of the "Heritage Flights" with the fighters from past and present. The photo's you posted of the B-17 and the B-52 had me thinking wild thoughts. Wouldn't it be a rather interesting "Heritage Flight" with a B-52, B-1, B-2, and a B-17, B-24, or even the CAF's B-29 ? I know...alot of wishful thinking here. Mainly because the B-17 and B-24's would be flying their guts out while the others would likely be close to stall speed. But wouldn't that be a cool photo op ??

I like the shot of the two hornets with the black smoke in the back.

Thanks for posting!

That B-52 flies for my girlfriend's squadron (93rd Bomber Squadron) out of BKD. The idea of a past/present bomber formation has never been brought up around the office as far as she knows. I'm going to pass the word around amongst the pilots and maybe it will be considered in the future. They had all the makings of a great bomber flight a thwe show with LSFM's B-25 & B-17 there, as well as the CAF's B-24. The B-2 Spirit also showed which would have added even more punch to a potential Heritage Flight. I think the relative speeds of each of the planes would be within the bounds of possibility. The B-52 can fly pretty darn slow when it wants to.

How about PoF's N9MB and the B-2 flight?

THAT WOULD BE COOL!! Could a B-2 slow down or the N9MB speed up enough to stay together at all??

Thanks for the compliments!

Rob- I actually dont live in Louisiana...My cousin is in the middle of B-52 EWO training at Barksdale, and i went down to stay with him for a while. When his training is over, he will be staying at Barksdale, flying with the 20th.
