Is that the one that Jimmy Buffett had? He was in Atlanta several years ago & it was parked out on our ramp. I was out there looking over the airplane, & the guy wiping down the oil & stuff let me look inside & showed me where the bullet holes had been patched from being shot at in Jamacia. The fellow was real nice & figured out pretty quick I had an interest in the older airplanes. He needed a ladder & some rags to finish cleaning the plane up (Jimmy was going to fly around Atlanta that evening for a photo shoot), so I took him over to the hangar & fixed him up. We shot the bull for awhile, & all along he seemed familiar to me. I wanted to hang around but I was on the clock, so back to work I went. I found out later the guy that Jimmy had cleaning on the airplane was JIMMY BUFFETT! Boy what a dumba-s. I had been talking to Jimmy the whole time & just thought he was some guy doing the crap work of cleaning it up. Man I was embarassed. The guys I work with had seen me hanging with Jimmy & thought I was some kind of cool guy. When I found out who it was I should have played like yea-me & Jimmy - hanging out- yea thats the ticket. :)

Yea he is a pilot. I think it was a Mallard he almost busted hi a-s in. Saw a friend last night that flys for an airline & also does some corporate flying on the side. He related a story to about Jimmy. Seems he & Jimmy have known each other for quite some time, done some flying together, etc... My friend was in south Florida waiting with a Cessna Citation for his boss to show up for a trip, & he ran into Jimmy on the ramp. Jimmy was dressed in his usual island casual wear, & looked like the average Joe. Well the boss shows up, no introductions are made as the boss is tired & in a hurry. Jimmy & my buddy are still talking as they load the bags(He & Jimmy). They get done loading & as my buddy & the boss get in the airplane, the boss stops pulls out 5 bucks & gives it to Jimmy with a thanks for helping out. The boss didn't find out till later that he just tipped Jimmy Buffett. Guess we ain't the only dumb a-ses.
Regards
Robbie :supz:

What would Jimmy Buffet DO? I think about it all the time running off to key west playing a banjo on a street corner! If I could only get my body to go where my mind is!
