It looks like we missed you at the show! Will you be at Yankee?

Thanks for sharing the pics BTW. They are providing clues for the list of attendees.

I am trying to read the markings on the tail of the F-16. I think I read "AF 86 482". Do you agree?

Also... What is the registration of black aerobatic bi-plane? I don't normally pay attention to the stunt planes.

Did anyone get the registration of the Pitts Special that showed up late on Saturday?

Mike

Thanks Guys, was the first time using my new camera ( Canon Rebel XT )
Thinking of getting a bigger telephoto lens, i only have a 55x200mm lens, any ideas on what would be good for a novice ? I have another 200 photo's to go through and also i have some good video i have to capture and put on the website for all to see.

Looking forward to seeing Eric's pictures of theis event, his shot are breath taking.

Dave

Dave,

I don't know how much you may agree with this, but I use a Pentaxc setup myself. I don't recall the model, but when I shoot photo's at an airshow I use two different camera's...Both Pentax. One, the new one, is fully auto everything, with a 35-250 (?) wide angle zoom. The other is an older model Pentax Me Super...yeah old, but it has always taken great shots. I outfitted it with an auto winder to help, but I usually leave my 80-200 Telephoto on that one, BUT, I also use a 2x Teleconverter for longer distance shots. The drawback, though small perhaps, is that the phtoto's take on a slight grainy look. That and using the teleconverter, does make things abit shakier when focusing. I have learned to hold a steady hand, like when I target shoot, when using it.

Is that something you might like to consider for yourself when using the telephoto ?

Just curious,

Take care and I hope to perhaps meet some of your for the first time at Thunder.

Paul
