Hi!

While I was in Europe, I heard something about a T-6 losing its tail.

Does anyone know anything about it?

The only recent Harvard IIb crash I know of was OY-IIB that crashed in Denmark on 18th June, killing both pilot & passenger. :cry:

It supposedly happened around the 18-19th of June, no idea of the country though.

Which ties in with the date of the Danish crash. However, the picture in the link that Martin posted clearly shows the tail still attached after the accident.

The mix up could be this; June 24 at Dyess AFB in Texas a Harvard MKIV chewed part of the tail off one of Trojan Phlyers T-28B's on a taxiway after landing. It seems the Harvard driver was distracted trying to reset his ELT which he thought had gone off. :oops:

You got to be kidding. What part of fly the airplane and screw the minor stuff until you're parked and stopped did this pilot not understand. It's always been beaten into me that the landing (or what ever else) isn't finished till the airplane shutdown and you're sitting in the shade having a tall dark cold one.
