I have been trying to get in touch with anyone involved with Occidental Petroleum of Los Angeles regarding their two A-26 executive transports of the 70s. Not much luck there, but I was recently informed that Occidental bases their Gulfstream in Bakersfield, CA. Does any forumites know any pilot, mechanics, etc. who works for them up there?

TJ,
Back in March 2002 I made a stop at Bakersfield, and got to meet a couple of guys, very involved in aviation activities there. Lots of interesting stuff, but they requested that no photos be shot because of the presence of US Army helicopters in the area, and I complied with their request.
I am trying to find the name and address of the guys, and as soon as I do, I will post it here. You may want to try the airport terminal / cafe, where they were really laid back, down to earth folks, who loved to talk about airplanes for a long time.
Saludos,
Tulio
