Any WIXers attending the airshow? Come by and hang out with us at the autograph tent. Tomorrow (Fri.) I will be picking up Tex and Mazie Hill along with Archie and Mary Donahue from the airport to attend our autograph tent. Other WWII Vets include Corsair Ace Col. Dean Caswell credited with 7 kills and was aboard the Bunker Hill http://bunkerhillpilotsvmf451.blogspot.com/ when struck by 2 kamikazes on May 11 1945 (my father was on the Destroyer USS Ault escorting her that day). Other Corsair pilots are Lt. Col. Vince Lipovsky http://vincelipovsky1.blogspot.com/ and squadron mate Maj. Sam Richardson. P-51 pilots are Lt. John Lee http://www.jleep-51.blogspot.com/ and 8-10 Tuskagee airmen are scheduled to appear. Also we have Zeke Zellmer, he was aboard the submarine USS Cavalla and participated in the sinking of the Carrier Shokaku as well as Cavalla crewmember Capt.Zeb Alford who went on to command 2 nuclear submarines. Several members of the Pearl Harbor Assn. will be there to share their stories of Dec.7
