This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

No worries I also have Old timers disease - at least we meet new friends every day and can hide our own easter eggs !!
Kindest regards

The Zuccolis had NZ1085 and may still do? It was a beautiful example, in the red and grey scheme. Very shiny.
Judy Pay has NZ1051
The one in the Slipsteam page of the latest issue is NZ1087, which is currently in the RNZAF Museum painted as NZ948 - so it's worn a few colour schemes then. Funny after being the trial plane for new schemes it ends its days in a wartime one.

Dave, is that Galeb thing on the for sale page (p 56) in NZ? The backdrop in the photo looks suspiciously like the backdrop of Wigram, or perhaps Woodbourne/Omaka. Or is this just coincidence?

Dave
It is taken at Woodbourne. Aircraft is sold and is going offshore. It displayed at Classic Fighters 05 and is remarkably quiet for a jet.

Thanks Dave. I thought I recognised those hills. I never knew it was in NZ or that it had featured on the show circuit.
I had seen it advertised within Classic Wings pages before but had never really taken much notice till now - not really my area of interest. It's not exactly a pretty or attractive aircraft either, is it? I guess it must be of Eastern Block origin.
I hope it makes the new buyer happy anyway.
