During 1985 Steven Grey's Magister ( G-BKSY) passed through Duxford before going to USA, do any Wixers have any info/pics of its time in America ?

Good to see that it's still alive and well in the US.

Built in 1960, French AF '61', to G-BKSY on 7 June 1983, cancelled from UKCAR as sold in the US on 11 Jan 1985.

airnutz and Mike thanks for the links and info, even after looking in a Google search I can find no further information regarding the history of this aircraft past or present, although looking through my copy of 'British Civil Aircraft Registers 1919 - 1999' (Air Britain Publications) it is shown as having been on the French register as F-AZDG, but this reg. appears to belong to another aircraft?

No problemo LAHarve and thanks for the info Mike. There is a bit of a
glitch though, as N28JV #61 according to the US registration was built in
1957. A couple of references to the aircraft make a point of mentioning
the 1957 mfg. date, as this makes N28JV the the oldest Magister (of about
85) in the US.

#61 must spend a lot of time tied-down outside as the paint appears a bit
sunbeaten. I've seen a photo of her bare-metal in early 2001, and
another photo of 'er months later at Oshkosh in her current Patrouille
de France aerobatics team colors.
