Wasn't the XP-75A under restoration elsewhere?

Interesting that they are working on the XC-99 even though the majority of it is still in San Antonio!

Beaufighter stuff is interesting - Another export which should not have left the Country - Not saying a Beaufighter shouldn't but not a Mk1 - very rare and important .

TT
The Typhoon at Hendon came from the National Air and Space Museum in exchange for a Hurricane. The Beaufighter at the USAFM - sorry - NMUSAF has come from Australia which is why setter is not amused.

For what it's worth - I hope John will agree - they seem to have done a pretty good job with it in a pretty short time so there has been an overall gain to the world population.

I'm pretty sure it never left - just moved from the Experimental hangar to restoration a few years ago. Here's how it looked in 2003

OK - the Ascender is on loan from the NASM to Kalamazoo Air Zoo. I think they've got on fairly fast with the restoration. This is how it was towards the beginning:
