When the WIX made a visit in April this year it looked like a lot of work was being done on the inside equipment.

All the turrets are off to one side, they look complete and restored. In fact that is the first time I've seen the Turret assemblies from a B-29. FiFi are removed from the flight deck area for space considerations, which was what I was told.

I'd assume, yes assume that the “glass” would not be fully installed until everything inside is done. I would think it’s much easier to get stuff in the nose with out the “glass”

Work is still on going, mainly on the interior at this time. A big hurdle is fabricating all the insulation blankets for the interior, a major pain in the tushy! But you're quite limited in the amount of "detail" work you can do until you get all that stuff in place...but she's come a long way already :D
