I was thinking about posting a little note about the EAA WB Sq. 7 x-mas party we had last weekend and had not gotten around to it, things have been busy here.
Last Saturday, 12/10 the EAA WoA Patriot Squadron #7 had its annual Christmas party. The Highlight of the day was a visit and a presentation for our friend and Member Emeritus, David Frawley. Several awards from the Mass. Aero Comission, FAA and the President were given to Dave along with a gift from our squadron. Some great warbird stories were tossed around the room and it was good to see a whole bunch of the "Old New England Warbird Guys" together for the occaision.
Unfortunately I received an E-mail this afternoon informing us of the passing of Mr Frawley last evening.
A well known Pilot Examiner in the Northeast Warbird Community, Dave had given check rides to most of the big rig pilots in our area. I watched Dave the day he was working with Rob Collings in the Avenger. Dave was sitting in a folding chair with a handheld radio saying, "Do it Again"
For those of you who didnt know him just check out the listing I found under "Pilot Examiners"
