Happy new year to everyone, I haven't been around for awhile but I'm back.

I have started collecting old aircraft photos recently, and not long ago I purchased this loverly one.............

What I would like to know is, what is it and when/where?

Also when I received it I noticed this damage...........

As you can see at least half of one engine is missing with extensive damage to the lower wing, is this a known incident and if so, does anyone know the storey?

Unfortunately there was no information with the photo so I cannot help with who took it etc.
:?: :?

Thank you suh, I had a feeling the answer would come from you, most appreciated. :D

One more question, if I may, location and date?

(........or should I stop being lazy and go and look it up myself?)

Hairy,

Looked through your photo's, some nice stuff in between! In particular two nice pictures of a Fokker D.XVII and Fokker F.VII trimotor. I have a question on those, would you mind if I use these two in future article on some of Fokkers products? If you would like to have somein return, let me know as I collect old pictures as well, mostly Dutch planes and Fokkers in particular.

Regards,
Roel
