Historic (?) Gooney on eBay=Gooney Questions....

I found this bird listed on eBay
and it inspired a few questions.
1-Can anyone confirm it's history?
2-Is there a comprehensive book or website listing all/most DC-3/C-47 survivors and their histories?

Is this the kind of info that would be found on a "movement" card, or how could this history be substantiated?
