This is the book I read. Didn't know till just now that there's a revised edition out. I have an original. It's easily as good as The Longest Day or A Bridge Too Far.

That is correct. What I referring to is the star & Bar is seen on both sides on the upper wings. Not often you would see that on USAAF bombers.

You're right! Funny how one can overlook the most obvious things sometimes. :oops:

Maybe it's an older one that originally had the simple star-in-disk on both wings, and they just updated them both with the bars.
