Aussie Navy heritage

The way life used to be in 1980 - at sea with the FAA of the Royal Australian Navy onboard HMAS Melbourne the aircraft carrier..

The RAN Historic Flight is trying to bring back some of its heritage as seen in the film to flying status, with historical aircraft and helicopters based at Nowra NSW.

Currently they have a UH-1 Huey flyable and maybe soon another Huey, along with a Bell 206 Kiowa. A S-2 Tracker is nearing flying status all going well.

There are reports that the RANHF and HARS are still trying to form a link up in the long term to get more of the RAN's FAA heritage flying.
