Need info/pics WW2 C-47 radio op station

Sun Dec 28, 2014 8:50 pm

Since I'm the resident "radio nerd" at VFM, the C-47 Southern Cross crew asked me to research the physical configuration of the radio operator's station on WW2 USAAF C-47s, and also verify the type of equipment that was used. Since the airplane is finished in D-Day markings, the appropriate time period would be mid-1944. I'm looking for photos, equipment specs, etc, to help these guys do a reasonable job with their restoration. Your help will be appreciated! Meanwhile, I'll do some "internet sleuthing" on my own.

Hello
Here is a picture from the maintenance manual with the main radio set used in a C-47 in mid-1944
On top are the two transmitters of the SCR-274N
second row the three receivers of the SCR-274N
Third row the transmitter BC-375 with one of its tuning unit
on the right is the receiver BC-348
If you have questions you can ask because The SNAFU Special is equiped with all this material
