Oh, it's a good engine to be sure. Just had thought this one still had the original until I saw those pictures.

In 2007 I saw her fly at the Dittingen airshow in Switzerland. They told us, that it was flown by the french navy, as indicated by its markings. The aircraft also was on static display, and it was great seeing it from only a few meters away, but nothing compared to see it fly!

In 2009 I was informed, that the F4U would not participate in the airshow, as it was sold to an unknown owner. That was sad news, even if the rest of the program was promising.

So, well, through Facebook, I finally found out more about her, and I am amazed by her history, her real history! You did a great job, to get her back to her old shape! Will she be on display at some shows? Would love to see her fly, again!
