So I guess we hope to see a flying F-100? Or does EAA have a static example I've forgotten about?

It would be news to me if we had an F-100, and I'm the assistant curator of collections! We do have an F-100 cockpit that was used as a trainer. Are there any restored F-100s flying?

As amazing as it sounds there are at least a couple of 'em.
One at Mojave, and one at Ft Wayne, Indiana.

Dick Rutan is the featured speaker for the F-100, I wonder if perhaps the one based at Mojave will be the one that will be here? I'm getting pretty stoked about this summer - AirVenture is starting to shape up, and Thunder Over Michigan is right after. Can't wait!

An F-100 would fit in great with the Nam theme going at Thunder.

Dean "Cutter" Cutshaw owns the one in Fort Wayne. It did a few flybys at Goshen last year. I think it was bare-metal, hard to tell cause he was haul'n some serious but. 8) Does anyone have any pictures of that F-100?
