Lynn -- Have a look here

http://www.aafo.com/hangartalk/showthre ... Ted-Contri

I liked Ted a lot, and will at some point post more stuff, but for right now I'm trying to keep my scanning project somewhat linear.

Thank you Neal for your time and pictures. I too really respected Ted and will miss his wit and smile...

Well, Thank you!

Here's a bit of Warbird history:

Image

Wiley Sanders' "Kangaroo" from 1983. Eventually became "Jeannie Too".

Before Wiley bought her, Gary Levitz ran it at Reno '81 unofficially named "Aussie Bush"...a nod to the fact it is an A68-001, but also the nickname for Gary's girlfriend at the time after his divorce from Katherine.

Great to see these photos Neal, I love seeing images of Reno from before my time.

It breaks my heart to see aircraft like Super Corsair 74. Lovely photos make a great tribute, however.
