chico, UGLY!??? The c-124 is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever!.

I refuse to call an airplane that gave me nightmares as a kid anything other than ugly.
And if anyone has the number of a shrink that can explain why cargo aircraft would give a 6 year old nightmares .

Who's afraid of Globemasters? I grew up around C-124s...my dad flew them, and as a kid walking up the open nose ramps was always a highlight of the base open house.

Maybe you're like some kids who were afraid of dogs...I've seen kids just about wet themselves when they see my basset hound....and a less threatening dog can't be found. Likewise, the 124 has always seemed a happy and faithful plane to me. :D
