See, Col, if you'd done what BDK did, I might have believed you more. (I am a very big skeptic, as people seem to think that because I'm a teenager, I'll believe whatever they say, and it's getting to be where I'm trust no one, especially when they use "I'm not at liberty to say" stuff) I figgered someone was getting their facts wrong, and as usual it was me (or more correctly, the person who told me). Anyways, I think there's a good chance of Doc staying in Wichita. If anyone wanted to take it out, they'd have to downright cruel. We volunteers worked hard on it (well, I did when I was there)
My reference to Boeing had to do with the fact that they provide the tools and facilities at no cost (that I'm aware of).
On a completely different note, the two cockpit sections said to be owned by the USAM in the latest Warbird Digest...where are they? Is one of them the one at the Kansas Aviation Museum? If so, which one? (And if you don't know, tell me where the data plates should be and I'll head down there and find 'em). Also, there's a couple stabilizers and wings and stuff there. If I knew where to find numbers that would identify them, I'd look for them too. (I almost think I mentioned this cache before, oh well)
Oh yeah, there's a 747 parked at the Kansas Aviation Museum now. I saw it during a flying lesson.
