Does anyone know what ever happened to the S-2 Tracker "Iron Lady" the last time I saw was at the 1999 Elkhart Air Show. Does it still fly, who owns it, where is it based. I think it is based near the Indiana/ Ohio boarder. Any information would be helpful. :D

I think it is over at Anderson. I was outside when we went there to do a crash and dash for my BFR. Thge story is they blew an engine and didn't have money to repair it. Also there was rumored in fighting amoung the group.

I don't think it's at Anderson anymore. I thought I heard it was now a firebomber out West.

I did some research online last night and I found a picture of it (can't remember the site) and it says the photo was taken in Arlington, WA. The plane still looks the same though. :D

My dad flew that Tracker, man that is a fun airplane, we blew the engine going to Elmira a long time ago, some good memories for that. Someone in Washington bought it, not sure who though.

Does anyone have pictures of it?

Thanks for making me feel old, I was going to ask if that was the a/c that a few years ago blew the engine going into Elmira (1998 if I recall correctly).

Geez, that thing must have suffered a LOT of engine troubles. It blew an oil line while flying at our show several years ago. The crowd figured the smoke pouring out of it as it made it's pass was part of the act

The Trader that shares our Hanger was coming home from a show in 2001 and the top cyl. let go which took out the prop feather lines causing it to go down in a cornfield. Doug Goss who was pilot did a great job putting her down in which no one was hurt. it is slowly being rebuilt to fly again.

It looks like we will have our Tracker at Elkhart and Willow Run this year.
