I'm still compiling my databases...

Anyways, I'm curious as to the identity of the AWM Beaufort (if it's composite, I'd like to know what all the known IDs are).

I'd also like to know the current condition of these P-38s: 42-13084, 42-13105, 42-66538, 42-66851, 42-66905, 42-104088, 44-53247, and 44-53095. Also, whatever happened to the wreckage of Bruce Pruett's machine? I got the impression it was in storage somewhere from reading a Warbird Digest editorial. I also noticed in a Warbird Digest article on Westpac, that a photo showed a P-38 wing in a jig, and the caption said it was from Alaska. What's the scoop on this one?

As for the Fw-190...this one wasn't mentioned in the Classic Wings article...Fw 190A-8, wk. nr. 173889. Does it not exist?

Where did the Museum of Flight's Ki 61 go?

Who owns the Bf 109G-6 that came from Australia?

Who owns Ju 88D-1, wk. nr. 430784?

How about Bf 110C-2, wk. nr. 3084? Or how about Bf 110C 3115?

A Fw 190A is offered for sale by RLM...what's its identity?

Who owns these Ju 87s: 1394, 2883, and 5820?

What happened to the OFMC Fw 190?

If you could answer any of these questions, I'd appreciate it. School prevents me from being on much, so Thanks in advance for answering even one of these questions.

Now...I must go get myself locked inside the SAC Museum on Friday evening. I have a lot to get ready for...

Here's an ad for the roll out of the AWM's machine, might get you started.

I think the ex-Aussie 109G went to a museum in Germany but might be wrong there.

As I mentioned in my into, I am not including 'parts' in the initial survivor lists. 173889 is basically a set of wings and an undercariage. I will probably list all wk.nr. that are banded about as 'survivors' upon the completion of the series. Some of the Norwegian ones in particular have long been 'parted out'

3084 is same as 4502, new wk.nr. on upgrade, stored for DTM Berlin. 3115 has never been proven to exist today.

Data plate and very small parts, identity on application of purchase :wink:

Who owns these Ju 87s: 1394, 2883, and 5820?
1394 privately owned in the UK, part of the rear fuselage and props etc.
2883 was the wk.nr. of the Hendon D model before upgrade to G.
5820 owner wishes to remain anon, Belgium. (parts only collected to eventually create a static with other parts)


What happened to the OFMC Fw 190?
Sold to a German collector, consists of wings, fuselage parts & bits.

But then I can't get my post quota up! :lol: Thanks mate, I post on another site that doesn't allow edits so I get a little punchy at times!

Yep, Dave Prewett has sold his '109. I visited him in 2000, in Coburg I think, and he was working hard to collect bits and pieces. He had a red 1950s Corvette parked next to the '109's wings and his shop was full of American pickups that were being converted to right hand drive. Hope he can turn his engineering skills to another a/c venture.

The last I heard 42-104088 was with Jim Frye, Minneapolis, Minnesota but no news on its current status.

There's an earlier thread here on WIX stating that 44-53095 "Putt Putt Maru" was being prepared for flight again so it could be flown to new owner, Tom Blair, in Florida.
