Sorry for the delay my friend. Been pretty busy as of late and just found this thread. Paul has Canadair Mk VI. Orenda 10 engine. Was RAAF, SAAF, then flew military contract work with Corporate Jets. More to follow.

Not ex-RAAF, but produced from new by Canadair for a SAAF order (as sn 381). First flight 17May56, and by sea to SA. Then served with 1 Sqn & 2 Sqn until retired to Snake Valley for the SAAF Museum. It was sold Corporate Jet, Scottsdale AZ Dec87 and registered as N50CJ (10Nov87?). By sea to Sardinia, Italy in May88, still in SAAF colours. Repainted in blue/white CJ colours and used on target towing duties for NATO from Decimomannu. To USA by sea .92, sold to Ricky Melton, Luttrell TN by .03 and based at Tennessee Museum of Aviation, Gatlinburg.
Circa winter 91/92 there was a proposal to house this and N30CJ with Jet Heritage at Bournemouth UK (JH were looking after F-86A G-SABR at this time), but it didn't come off in the end.
