A special 'Women in Aviation' event for Mother's Day.

The weather wasn't the best, unfortunately, so the crowd seemed very small.

All credit to the IWM for organising something a little different, though. There were talks by woman pilots, including serving USAFE pilots from RAF Lakenheath, and a flying display by Angie Soper (Yak C.11), Anna Walker (Harvard 'Taz') and Carolyn Grace (Spitfire Tr.9).

Great to see new sponsorship on the side of Carolyn's Spitfire for 2006, well done to HSBC! A nice engine in that aeroplane too, in spite of the cold weather it started on the second or third blade. :)

A 4-ship of Chipmunks were also flying earlier in the afternoon, they all looked to be working hard due to the weather.

Very well done to all the pilots who displayed this afternoon under the low cloudbase and gusty conditions.
