NAA T-6G Internal Colour

Hi, trying to ascertain the original internal colour of the fuselage frame, rudder pedals etc for the T-6G as they came out of the factory. I'm assuming that this was a shade of green, a matte/flat zinc chromate primer? Is this correct?

Also, when they re-used T-6Ds for the G programme, were any modifications made to the cockpit framework?

For the correct color you might ask the Ezells or some other specialist shop.
Also, remember the color could change during its service life.
A friend had a T-6G that was supplied to Spain. The interior color of that was a dark semi-gloss forest green, obviously changed from the original during a local IRAN/overhaul by CASA.
The only canopy change I'm aware of is the extra visibility gained by removing a vertical bar in each side window.

There are a lot of former Spanish AF AT-6G's flying today with unrestored (or not fully overhauled/repainted) cockpits, and the paint/primer always appears to be bronze green, as seen in use in the cockpits of some WWII-era American aircraft as well (when interior green was not used). Also, in all of these same aircraft, where the bronze green is chipped/worn away, you can also always spot yellow zinc chromate as well. So in a way, it would seem that that would likely have been the way the cockpits had been painted while they were still USAF AT-6G's.
