Ha! That WOULD be a problem ...

Thanks. I'm sure that will be greatly appreciated.

Yes. In fact, the parts manual supports just what you're saying.

However, I believe the date information is slightly different ... indicated on the hose by the marking "3/56" (meaning "third quarter of 1956"). Of course, that would also be in line with the 1957 Crusader crash.

"gtokid" brought up an excellent point with regards to the cure date on the hoses. I seem to recall that way, way back the date format changed to the "xQxx" format we use today. If there is an older, maybe "month/year" format that was used once upon a time, maybe it's described in good ol' AC43.13 or something.

I meant to add the caveat "if they get a match on serial numbers."

Hello , I'm the researcher that discovered the Jet Engine in Monterey Bay and have recently joined the forum. I also discovered the submerged remains of the USS Macon Airship
off the California coast. First off the folks that contributed in identification of this jet engine did a fantastic job . This was discovered in 2014 and I sent out requests to a
number of organisations and did not get far so all your input has re-catalyzed our efforts and been invaluable.
Status -----------
Once the jet was ID from a F8 we have discovered 6 incidents around Monterey Bay .
147006 Mid Air Collision (Johnson) 7-1960
147014 Mid Air Collision (Metzler) 7-1960
145414 Safe ejection over water - (Hellman ) 9-1959
142415 ??
143704 Safe ejection over water - (Jones ) 9-1957
??? Mid Air explosion ( Aillaud ) 10-1959

Judging by the images we obtained I think the site has more than just the Jet engine at our wreckage site . Speed brake hose and
Bleed air duct feeding forward under the wing of the aircraft.
Many Thanks , will keep you folks updated as we go along.
