Well typical sunday morning at work for me when all of a sudden i hear something. Its kind of a different sound. And i know just what it was. Making her departure from riverside is Miracle Maker race #50 Sweet. Nothing like a mustang to make work a little more interesting. She was not sounding really great a lot of popping but he could have been throttling back. Ill be at the airport the next few days with my camera if shes out ill take a few shots and share. I love the sound of a merlin. Have a Good Day.

Haven't heard anything in that regard so far, but you know there's already a P-51 and T-33 there in Hondo.

The other P-51 and T-33 are down the road in Uvalde, but being that SuSuII was for sale in Controller I can only assume it has been sold down here.

Lynn beat your post by a couple seconds. Also hear thru the grapevine that Chuck Yeagar was here with SuSu and it will be repainted or slightly modified for the new owner in Hondo.

Yeah, you're right. Those two are in Uvalde. Here's what I found out on another email list I'm on.

Quote:
Su Su II is now local to San Antonio. Just purchased by Rod ??? some local oil man.

They may well show on May 6th with their T-6, Turbine L-19 or a Super Cub or a flyby from Su Su II. Su Su II will be based at International and sits at Hondo for a little repaint for the new owner.

It is in the Orange Hangar on the left when standing on the ramp.

BTW the fly-by mentioned is for the Alamo Liaison Squadron's annual picnic on May 6th.
