It will be interesting to see how the weight and balance and the C.G. comes out. Might be a few weight savings here and there. I know most civilian P-51D's are nose heavy. Maybe since the aircraft doesn't have to do combat missions and get shot at, the C.G. can be tweaked and it will fly even better than when it was new!

A slight noseheavy bird with a laminar wing
Is a hell of alot more predictable
Than one thats right on c of g

Especially in a high powered high performance higher wing loading

Maybe less the armor and military gear
But
Better to remain on the safer side
