I have an album of unidentified airframes in Webshots (don't know the serial numbers). Every once and a while someone comes along and provides me with a s/n or c/n for an airframe or two. That happenned today out of the blue. The gentleman, Lorence Fizia, pointed me to his webshots album with unidentified airframes. You can find it here...

I thought I would post it here since there are some that have a particular interest in Latin American aviation. (Tulio... are you reading this?) The A-26 in Cuba really caught my attention.

If you can help with any information regarding these airframes either post here, or send an email to khimshar-webshots@yahoo.co.uk.

Mike

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

I'd be interested in knowing where the two H-5s are now.
The blue on e looks like an ex-USAF H-5G with all the "bumps".

Other than the HI- that seems to be a KitFox, I have no additional information on the CU-xxx airplane. It would seem to be some type of home-built, or, if my suspicions are correct, some russian-built light plane.

The B-26 is another matter; 40 years latter, could it be possible that it is a real shoot-down? Cuba had some B-26s that were destroyed during the Bay of Pigs initial attack, and you could probably bring an airframe and paint it to look like your enemy's plane. Sadly, not much about Cuba comes my way, and whatever little does, is treated with a degree of caution.

Saludos,

Tulio
