I had several "green" pants like that when I was in. They were very valuable at that time because the "issue" was heavy weight Camies (BDUs). Nothing like warring winter weight Camies in the summer in the Persian Gulf.

And why the heck are your pockets not sown up?

My guess at the location is just off the California coast, is it the Channel Island, San Clemente Island?

Where on the deck would be just rear of the island I assume that JBD is for Cat-#3?

Is the Buno 152928???? If so it was lost during the Gulf War one with Lt. Costen and Lt Turner on Jan 18th 1991.

Your're right Tim, greens were the only way to go!
This is the Nimitz not the Connie and it was taken on the 91
IO/Persian Gulf Cruise this was just after Desert Storm.
The pilot is Cdr "Too Tall" Indorf CO of VA-165 and it is a bolter
note the speed brakes are retracted. Tim is also correct
as to the location on the flight deck. As to the local, I can't be sure
but I'm guessing Arabian Sea or the Gulf. I didn't take the shot,
it was sent to me.
As to why my pockets aren't sewn up, now could I get my hands in
my pockets then??!!

Hook-skip bolter; ship caught a wave; or BN interference ... which one was it, Jack?? :)

The CO was spotting the deck. Just kidding, if he'd done that it
would have been a ramp strike instead.
