What is your choice for the best jet warbird ever?

If by "best" you mean most successful then the L-39 is the hands down winner. More of them flying today than any other jet warbird.

No...by that reasoning we'd then have to call the T-6 the best WWII era prop driven warbird. And while the T-6 is a nice airplane, it's not the best...at least not in my book.

Best is probably in the eye of the beholder. :wink:

"Best" is such an ambiguous term. It really depends on the parameters established to make the selection.

Most available
Rarest
Highest performance per era
aesthetics of the design
Success in meeting mision requirements


Come to think of it the A-6 only wins in one category ! :lol:
