Here is food for thought. The FAA is looking at any potential flight training for a limited category airplane will require a LODA. If that happens, all the "flight experience" programs that exist may not have the cash flow to sustain a business model that includes full "check out" programs. This will be a huge detriment to future warbird operations as far as training. The T-6 is mandatory, and the Mustang is considered the gateway airplane to other fighter types.

If the rules are changed and there is an arbitrary deadline imposed, the rush to get ratings may actually result in the unintended consequence of reduced safety. Hopefully the operators can resist temptation.
