Charlie Cartledge was kind enough to let me visit his hangar yesterday and take some pictures of his TBM-3E project. This is BuNo. 91436 former N9569Z. Thank you Charlie!

P.S.: Anyone have an idea what aircraft that tail hook came from?

Nice looking restoration, especially the interior. Will be nice to see another Avenger in the air when she's completed.

Tailhook not from a T2. Buckeyes hook is I-beam and this one appears to be round.

Skyhawk hook has a bumper on top on the hook end to keep it off of the fuselage.

Thanks for posting the pictures Jim.I have been working on my TBM for 7 years now.About 90% of the fuselage plus wings, tail, flaps etc have been reskinned. It was missing a lot of parts but thanks to John Lane,Forest Protection,Pacific Fighters,Harland Avezzie,John Seidts, ebay, many others, I now have most of the parts to finish the airplane. I have some great friends that have voluntered thousands of hours to help me with this labor of love. Now money is the only thing slowing me down but it will fly in a few years! Wixers, thanks for the positive comments and if any of you get to Ohio stop in. Charlie Cartledge
