Nope. I sold it in August to a friend of mine, although it didn't leave the hangar until a couple weeks ago. We had our fun with it and it was time to move on to greener pastures. I also needed the hangar space since I have purchased five warbirds in the last year or so.

The A/B-26 is awesome!!! It looks sexy AND mean at the same time... I also love the Caviler Mustang.

Great photos as always! I really dig the Cavalier Mustang. Call me crazy if you will, but for some reason, it just looks "right".

You are crazy, Dean. That canopy is and always will be an abomination. The back seat accomodations are MUCH nicer than a regular D model, but that doesn't change ugly...

Can't disagree, but it's a lot better than the canopy on TF's like Crazy Horse, Bum Steer, etc..

I know Dean is referring to Ed Lindsay's Cavalier Mustang (as seen in one photo), and I think Neal is referring to the TF-51 "Little Witch", as seen in a different photo.

The canopy on Ed Lindsay's Cavalier Mustang is of course essentially stock, no different in size than as fitted to any other stock P-51D (it doesn't have the TEMCO "TF" extended cockpit/canopy). It also happens to be the oldest surviving P-51D, having been one of the very first produced. Retained by NAA and the NACA for testing, it was during that period in which it received the extended tail fin cap, which was later copied by Trans Florida on their other Cavalier-modified Mustangs. It is one of my absolute favorites, both for its history/originality and just how cool it looks.

I agree that the canopy on the pictured TF-51D "Little Witch" is quite ugly (though the aircraft itself is gorgeous). Compared to it, I much prefer the canopy shape on the UK-based TF-51D "Contrary Mary".

It appears that I misunderstood those posts. My apologies. I dislike those TF canopies more than I should.

Yes it is. I saw this one back in January and mistakenly thought it was the one named American Dream which I'd taken a number of photos of already(cowlings where nose art would've been were removed). I realized my mistake after I'd flown back home and was looking through my photos. Had I known this was a new to me P-40 I would've been more thorough.
