Hi all,

For twenty years or more I admired the A26 that was on top of the North American building in Oshawa, Ontario along the 401. I know it was removed probaly 10 or 15 years ago, I've always wondered what became of it.

Does anyone here know?

See the entry for this bird in the Registry here:

Welcome to the WIX

You can also do a search of this forum.
I would imagine searching on Oshawa and A-26 would bring up quite a bit of info...

Thanks Bryan,

That is the bird I was looking for. A search of this site revealed that it was bought by a local group of vintage car restorers in 1999 and recently sold.

No word on who it was sold to though.

Thanks for the welcome to the board, I've lurked here for years. I believe I was rubbing elbows with a few regulars in here at the Russell Group Airshow a couple of weeks back.

There are a few shots of the Oshawa Invader when it was in Oshawa...

I spoke to the group of automotive restores a few weeks ago. They sold it a few years back to someone in the United States. They weren't forthcoming with a name or location.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.
