I added a lengthy post on a B-17 that was known as the Polo Queen after it was parked on a rural airport by a local Boy Scout Troop. It went on to fly for Fairchild Aerial Surveys and then flew with Black Hills Aviation as an air tanker. It suffered a fatal crash in July 1979 in Montana while fighting a fire. Parts of the airplane live on, however.
