Sorry about the problems with the site. I've been trying to isolate it but no luck so far and health issues have eaten into my time.
I am going to be looking into archiving the site and starting a fresh install. I will most likely create a forums for one of the other sites in the group as a test bed. When that happens I wil post the link on WIx and would request you all to create accounts there as a test run. Please be patient, coding with Parkinson's is a bitch.

Thanks here too Scott: the best site for warbirds old and new by a long way. Sorry to hear about your health issues but hopefully our positive thoughts will have an effect. Your work here is very much appreciated.

Scott, I hugely appreciate your efforts, I am another having continual difficulties opening the site and often when I can it is unbelievably slow.
An allied problem is a lack of posting of new content, something that may become worse given that one of the most common posters of new threads is involved in an unedifying political spat (as an understatement) on one of the other topics. I'm a lurker with no connections with warbird information so I can't help with new topics but I see a bigger issue as being how we ensure quality and continuing content on the site.

Thank you Scott for all you do, it’s a great form and much appreciated. Look after yourself health wise, that’s the first priority.

Good luck with the forum revamp, Scott! I hope you can stop the political argument on the thread about NAS Barbers Point because it has become extremely nasty. I've always liked the rule of politics being strictly forbidden on this forum because I absolutely hate political debates.

Today, my "login" wasn't remembered, I had to relogin. It happened without delay and immediate response to my actions, including posting this message. Almost no "excessive" (you know whar I mean) ads. Maybe the generation of ads has something to do with the issues?

I have no end of trouble logging in, click on a subject and it freezes and goes to 403.

Well, after clicking "submit" to that message, it froze and I haven't been able to login until now ... ... to check that it actually got posted. I wonder how this will post?

If Scott reads this, why not try skipping the ads for a week or so? Just to rule them out as the cause?

I'm honestly fearful of antagonizing the Old Gods and the New, but I've been able to log in for 2 days running without a problem. We'll see how that goes.
