My wife and I are doing a roadie, leaving Edmonton, AB on aug 5 and traveling to Seattle for a couple of days and then on to Portland, Salem, Eugene and then a 180 along the coast highway to Victoria.

Does anyone have a list of Aviation museums that we could visit in the Seattle and Portland areas.

The ones I'm familiar with are;

- Museum of Flight
- the one in McMinville where the Goose is.
- Tillimook
- Paul Allan's (although not a museum) I'm hoping to be able to get a tour on the Sunday or Monday

By jove I think that's all I can think of.

If you can think of any that we can visit I appreciate your input

Thanks, sincerely Gerry

Tours of Mr. Allen's Flying Heritage Collection are offered on Friday & Saturday. Info at: http://www.flyingheritage.com/TemplateT ... ntentId=25

If you have time when in the Portland, OR area, stop by The Bomber Restaurant in Milwaukie, OR (that is the correct spelling) for a meal and to see most of a B17 "flying" on pylons (since 1947) out front.

info at: http://www.thebomber.com/

Your other stops (Evergreen & Tillamook & Seattle MOF) are great choices. Also check out MOF Restoration Center (North of the Seattle).

good hunting...

I thought only groupies did roadies? (Sorry).

Is that Victoria BC? In which case see if you can visit Victoria Air Maintainance (ask, it's a company, not a museum, but they seem happy with sensible polite visitors) and The British Columbia Aviation Museum, both in Sidney.
