not to be a grim reaper on posting a 2nd aviation history related death....... i thought i'd fyi you guys on jim gannett's death. he was in the usaf at edwards afb from 1950 to 54. he then became a test pilot for boeing. he is best known as the co-pilot on the boeing dash 80 prototype of the 707 that did 2 barrel rolls over lake washington in 1954. the film clip is legendary, & shot boeing's sales up on the spot as several airline big shots were attending the boat races on the lake as guests of the company.
